I'm still in bed. It's early. Too early for me to be up (usually). It's yet another Wednesday, and all I can think about is the week ahead. I seldom have luck turning off my brain, and am usually kept up late, or end up waking early, with rampant thoughts cascading through my brain stem.
Usually, it's the normal stuff. Work, school, test, supper, do I go to the gym tonight or save it for another? Did the kids get all their homework done? Is it in their backpack, ready for yet another school day? Are their things laid out and ready to go when they get up? Should I get up now and clean the (kitchen, dishes, laundry, living room) that didn't get done yet?
But I have a few extra things going on this next week. I have to get new(ish) tires put on my van, I'm ending a job on Friday, we have a wedding to go to in Racine, which my husband is officiating (no, he's not a priest), and probably the most exciting of all....(pause for dramatic effect)
I START A NEW JOB ON MONDAY!!
Okay. You probably guessed that by the whole "ending a job on Friday" part. Currently, I work at a daycare in the Wisconsin Rapids area, and for confidentiality reasons, I will not state where. I am currently taking care of 3-5 year olds, who are part time. My new job (again, I will not state for confidentiality), will be teaching 4-5 year olds!
I AM SO EXCITED!!
This is 1.5 steps away from my dream job!! I really want to teach 4k, but for that to happen, I need to go on to further schooling (once I finish my associates degree) and get my bachelor's. But that remains to be yet another chapter in my life.
I have been driving my husband CRAZY, with my constant Pinning and Facebook-ing, trying to find the perfect ideas and the perfect materials to start my new job out, you guessed it, perfectly. (Stay tuned for some awesome projects!)
My goal for this blog, is to keep others posted not only on my progress and success, but to share ideas, tools and strategies with all my fellow teacher friends out there!
So...wish me luck as I embark on my new journey.
